JPMorgan Chase Associate I - Fund Accounting Operational Readiness in Boston, Massachusetts

We are looking for a motivated, self-starter and high performing individual interested in gaining experience in project management within fund accounting operations. The ideal candidate for our team, will have the ability to manage their own workload and deliverables, as well as manage others in time.

As an Associate I - Fund Accounting Operational Readiness within our Ops Readiness team, you will take ownership and supervise various fund accounting operational projects throughout the year. Your role will ensure that our global partners and teams are prepared to integrate new business into the firm. You will manage projects to confirm teams are operationally ready to onboard, migrate, or execute complex fund events within the firm. Your responsibilities will also include interacting with global stakeholders and service teams that impact clients, resolving issues, and supporting the implementation of future solutions.

The role will involve managing projects to ensure teams are operationally ready to onboard, migrate or execute complex fund events within the firm; interacting with global stakeholders and service teams impacting clients; remediation of issues; and support implementation of "go forward" solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead projects as a member of the global operations readiness team; applying the current global ops readiness processes, procedures, and standards to each project

  • Manage new client on-boardings from a Fund Accounting Operations standpoint, aligning the teams and ensuring they are in position to support successfully in a live environment

  • Leading effective calls as an Individual contributor with all global stakeholders, sending out the structured meeting agendas, detailed meeting minutes, issues log and ensure key items are communicated to US counterparts and escalated as needed

  • Interact with and lead daily calls with various teams and data sources to create/track project tasks required for numerous client on-boardings, migrations, off-boardings, and fund launches. Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities

  • Manage relationships and work directly with operations specific teams, build strong relationships with all global stakeholders in product and technology

  • Manage and Drive project deliverables, both day to day and long-term project based

  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement on the current project as well as future projects.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong analytical, prioritization, organizational, and project management skills (ability to coordinate across multiple touch points and manage a broad array of tasks)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and processes the skills to be effective in a dynamic, global environment

  • Possess strong interpersonal skills with Excellent verbal and written communication, influencing and presentation skills with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships

  • Control Minded, Team oriented and flexible, with an ability to take ownership over projects and proactively progress them through completion

  • Analytical skills, problem solving, good critical thinking and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience in mutual fund operations, preferably in project management

  • Bachelor's Degree (Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business preferred) Fund Accounting, Custody or Business Management experience

  • PMP or CPA or like professional certification preferred

  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Teams, Office 365
