As an Executive Director of Cybersecurity, the quest to find new and innovative technological solutions to protect our assets, data and people is what drives you. You’ll lead a highly motivated team laser-focused on analyzing, designing, developing and delivering solutions built to stop adversaries and strengthen our operations. You’ll share your expertise, thought leadership and overall guidance and support, both with your team and across all our business and technology groups. You’ll deploy best practices, implement new policies, and embrace emerging trends to strengthen our strategic roadmap. Finally, you will lead by example and earn the trust of the internal team, collaborators from around the world working in our global team of technologists and innovators, senior management, and, the people and companies whose assets we manage and protect.

Summary

We are seeking a Cyber Defense Technology Director as part of our Digital Forensics & Data Loss Prevention (DLP) products.

  • Digital Forensics is responsible for aiding the recovery, investigation and preservation of material on digital media and networks as part of suspected events. Capabilities include providing evidence collection, forensic analysis and incident response expertise and responding as Subject Matter Experts in suspected cyber-attacks.

  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP) is responsible for data security pertaining to, but not limited to, identifying potential security vulnerabilities, determining what controls are necessary in order to protect the data, determining the effectiveness of the controls already or designed to be put in place.

Responsibilities

The Cyber Defense Technology Director will be accountable for leading a team responsible for design, development, and implementation of solutions for our Digital Forensic and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Services Team.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Develop robust, scalable, resilient applications driven by strong requirements based design and best practices.

  • Lead the work of Digital Forensics & DLP engineers – infrastructure & development

  • Contribute to the development of the Digital Forensics & DLP technology roadmap and strategy

  • Apply software engineering concepts to IT operational challenges

  • Train peers on new processes/technologies

  • Drive enhancement of Forensic capabilities which include automation of processes and procedures and researching new technologies to further Operational mission

  • Partner with Product Management and Operations stakeholders to deliver solutions that support the Digital Forensics & DLP mission

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high performance team in a fast passed global financial environment

  • Develop, implement, and execute standard procedures for the administration, content management, change management, version/patch management, and lifecycle management of the firm’s Digital Forensics & DLP security platforms

  • Drive and manage large scale projects with little or no supervision.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant and progressive software development, engineering and/or architecture experience within cybersecurity focusing on Digital Forensics and/or Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies..

  • Proven ability/experience in the area of people management on globally distributed teams

  • Experience in the following as it relates to Cybersecurity in a mission critical environment:

  • Analyzing complex data systems - failure analysis / root cause analysis

  • Developing, improving and maintaining technical engineering documentation

  • Performance management

  • Roadmap development

  • Product Management - design, development, testing and integration/transition/transformation

  • Compliance and governance

  • Experience working with enterprise scale network infrastructure, architecture and security risks

  • Solid and demonstrable comprehension of Information Security including

  • Solid understanding of the end-to-end information technology (IT) process, including architecture, design & engineering, implementation, and operations

  • Security platform administration or engineering experience within a large-scale enterprise

  • Knowledge of information security best practices, technology related concepts and industry standard methodologies

  • Ability to support and liaise with business process owners to incorporate digital forensics & DLP products/provisions into their processes.

  • Professional level experience programming/scripting in Java, JavaScript, Python and/or Shell

  • Experience working with AWS, Azure and/or Google cloud environments

  • Experience with RDBMS technologies: SQL, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, etc.

  • Experience with Request and Change Management tools and processes

  • Experience with Windows, Oracle Solaris, HP HPUX, IBM AIX and/or Linux

  • Experience with host and network security (identity management, ACLs, file permissions and integrity)

  • Knowledge of enterprise systems and infrastructure

  • Advanced expertise in Cybersecurity organization practices, operations, risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering and threats and vulnerabilities, including incident response methodologies, tactics and strategy to protect, detect, respond and recover from attacks

  • Deep fluency in national and international laws, regulations, policies and ethics related to financial industry Cybersecurity

  • Seasoned command of multiple disciplines, optimizing Cybersecurity products and services through the lifecycle

  • Recognized expertise in Cybersecurity and Agile, creating competitive advantage through the application of leading-edge technologies and methodologies

  • Strategically oriented and can influence at the group and Firm level as needed

  • Expertise in working in partnership with colleagues throughout the firm, and in leading collaborative teams to achieve common goals
