JPMorgan Chase Executive Director, Corporate Technology in Brooklyn, New York

Duties: Manage the design, development and delivery of the Anti-Money Laundering / Know Your Customer platform for JP Morgan: Corporate Investment Bank and Commercial Bank Operations teams. Partner with senior KYC Ops/Compliance executives to define the Program Road Map and Operating Model to ensure comprehensive KYC for the Firm’s Institutional Clients in compliance with changing regulations. Leverage deep domain experience in KYC/ AML Regulatory and complex Privacy and Regulatory policies (e.g. KYC, Patriot Act, FinCEN, MiFID etc.) of more than 40 countries/jurisdictions to build the next generation KYC Platform. Architect high performance, scalable and distributed Java/ J2EE enterprise systems with sophisticated front-ends (GUIs) using Angular 5/ Adobe-Flex for highly responsive Rich GUI. Build a user-managed rules/data framework to allow Operations to comply with rapidly changing local KYC requirements across 40+ jurisdictions. Implement highly scalable RESTful micro-service and use Drools-based Rules Engines and jBPM based Workflows with Oracle and NoSQL databases. Ensure data encryption at rest/transit, support for logical/physical data segregation for jurisdictions with Highly Restrictive privacy policies and data protection in compliance with GDPR. Manage infrastructure capacity growth both for physical and cloud-based infrastructure. Conduct regular cyber security/vulnerability assessment technology audits and disaster recovery drills to ensure a secure, highly resilient and available Regulatory platform. Serve as an expert practitioner of Agile processes to deliver software using Large Scale Scrum and Incorporate Test Driven Development (TDD) with comprehensive test coverage for a complex application suite. Utilize industry standard tools like Jenkins and Jules to set up Continuous Integration and automated Build and Deployment both for physical servers and cloud based infrastructure. Manage a budget of over 18M USD and handle vendor relationships. Leads a geographically distributed team of over 100 developers. This position directly manages eleven (11) employees (6 Vice Presidents, 3 Associates, 2 TAPs/Analysts).

Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.

Minimum experience required: 15 years of experience in software development and architecture of large enterprise platforms, or related experience.

Skills required: Must have domain experience designing and implementing systems for Anti Money Laundering and Know Your Customer applications at a major financial institution. Must have experience building entitlements frameworks to support privacy policies across multiple global jurisdictions. Must have experience designing large-scale, distributed enterprise web applications using Java/J2EE technology with comprehensive automated test coverage. Must have experience building high performance front-end applications (GUIs). Must have hands-on experience with micro services based architecture using industry standard/open source Business Rules Engines, Workflows and Relational/No SQL Databases. Must have experience implementing secure data management frameworks with support for implementing complex data encryption, privacy and data retention policies. Must have experience creating automated build and deployment frameworks with continuous integration. Must have experience with large-scale agile and test-driven development. Must have experience conducting cyber security assessments and managing hardware infrastructure, capacity planning and disaster/recovery planning. Must have experience leading large geographically distributed teams with matrix ownership. Must have experience managing multi-million dollar budgets for information technology projects.
