Control Management (CM) maintains a strong and consistent control environment across the firm. With Control Managers appointed for each Line of Business, Function and Region, there is a comprehensive coverage and joint accountability model with the business executive that promotes early operational risk identification and assessment, effective design and evaluation of controls and sustainable solutions to mitigate operational risk.

External Reporting Governance team resides within Finance Control Management and covers External Reporting Initiatives such as Accountability & Attestations, Issues & Errors Management, Manual Adjustments monitoring and tracking.

Accountability & Attestations

The Accountability & Attestations team is responsible for:

  • Implementing a cohesive end-to-end US regulatory reporting accountability and attestation framework that aligns accountability to the appropriate functions and facilitates enhanced controls to reduce the risk of external reporting errors

  • Administering external financial reporting attestation cycles via the firmwide attestation platform including onboarding of new reports

  • Implementing enhancements to the attestation platform to meet the changing needs of reporting processes

  • Providing firmwide attestation reporting capabilities and management reporting, providing transparency to stakeholders

  • Partnering with other External Reporting Governance workstreams to provide a cohesive, efficient support model to LOBs and Corporate functions

  • Providing training and guidance to support consistent application of the standards and corresponding processes

External Reporting Governance team has a key initiative to align the separate governance processes to achieve operational efficiencies, enhance risk assessment capabilities and rationalize the supporting toolset.

This role will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the integration of multiple governance processes such as manual adjustment tracking, issues and errors management and supporting toolset with the firmwide attestation platform

  • Supporting the integration with the firmwide strategic external reporting platform

  • Partnering with process owners to define and document the requirements and facilitating / leading discussions with technology team such as deep dive sessions on end-user requirements

  • Conducting the planning and preparation of the timeline for design, development and implementation activities in partnership with the Project Manager supporting the initiative

  • Conducting liaison activities across internal and external stakeholders and senior management communications regarding plan and progress

  • In partnership with the Lead of the workstream, performing an end-to-end impact analysis on thecurrent processes and putting together a migration approach and timeline

  • Assessing impact on end-users in partnership with process owners and preparing communication plans and training / guidance materials.

The role provides opportunities to partner extensively with LOBs, Corporate Finance, Risk, Control Management, and Internal Audit. It will also provide exposure to senior management.

  • Associate / Sr. Associate level

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Knowledge of, or direct experience in, external reporting related governance processes

  • Ability to analyze and present large data sets in meaningful ways

  • Ability to execute tasks under aggressive targets, multi-task, and prioritize

  • Strong communication skills – clear, concise, and appropriate method of delivery

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Change management experience a plus

  • Familiarity with Tableau a plus

  • Familiarity with the Global Finance Organization a plus
