JPMorgan Chase Planning and Analysis Earnings/Competitor Analysis - Associate in Brooklyn, New York

Join our team as a planning and Analysis Associate, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping strategic decision through insightful financial analysis and forecasting. Use your analytical skills to drive business performance and support growth initiatives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

As an Associate in Planning and Analysis Earnings/Competitor Analysis within the Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) Earnings & Competitor Analysis Team, you will be tasked with collaborating with both CIB and Corporate teams to structure and draft earnings documents. Your responsibilities will include developing talking points for industry conferences and high-level management meetings with external investors and analysts. You will also work closely with various stakeholders to aid in the preparation of JPMC's annual Investor Day presentation. Your role will require you to coordinate with Line of Business (LOB) teams/functions for monthly reporting and ad-hoc analyses. You will also be involved in the creation and validation of the Corporate Investment Banking sections in the 10K/Q in collaboration with SEC reporting, as well as the Proxy Statement and CEO letters of the Annual Report. You will be an active participant in the Control and Governance agenda for deliverables including internal audits and Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA). Lastly, you will support and promote the competitor intelligence agenda, which includes summarizing competitor strategic commentary and industry performance for a wide audience, including executive management.

Job responsibilities :

  • Partnering with CIB and Corporate teams to structure and draft earnings documents

  • Developing talking points and other supporting information for industry conferences and senior management meetings with external investors/analysts

  • Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to support JPMC's annual Investor Day presentation

  • Liaising with LOB teams/functions (Investor Relations, Corporate P&A, LOB P&A, etc.) for monthly reporting and ad-hoc analyses

  • Assisting with the creation and validation of the CIB sections in the 10K/Q in partnership with SEC reporting as well as the Proxy Statement and CEO letters of the Annual Report

  • Participating in the Control and Governance agenda for deliverables including internal audits and RCSA

  • Supporting and driving the competitor intelligence agenda including summarizing competitor strategic commentary and industry performance for a broad audience including executive management

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in the financial services industry with a top-tier bank, in a CIB-equivalent line of business or equity/credit research with focus on financials

  • Strong understanding of and ability to analyze financial statements and data for J.P. Morgan and its peer financial institutions

  • Working knowledge of CIB products and the financial market, with the ability to grasp technical details.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels

  • Strong MS Office skills (primarily Excel/PowerPoint)

  • Progress toward CFA a plus
