JPMorgan Chase Planning and Analysis Earnings/Competitor Analysis Vice President in Brooklyn, New York

The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance and Business Management (F&BM) group provides financial advice to support the CIB's business strategy and helps to ensure a sound control environment. Within F&BM, the four major areas of responsibility are: Business-aligned BMs (Business Managers), the CIB Controller, Support Staff CFO, and Planning and Analysis (P&A).

As a Planning and Analysis Earnings/Competitor Analysis Vice President within the Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) Earnings & Competitor Analysis Team, you will be tasked with overseeing the creation of quarterly earnings materials, working closely with Investor Relations, and coordinating with partner teams for Investor Day. Your role will also involve promoting innovation in competitive intelligence and ensuring the accuracy of select regulatory filings. Additionally, you will aid in the development and verification of the Corporate Investment Banking sections in the 10K/Q, liaise with Line of Business (LOB) teams/functions for monthly reporting and ad-hoc analyses, and support the competitor intelligence agenda. This role offers the chance to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and contribute to JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s (JPMC) annual investor day presentation.

Job responsibilities :

  • Assisting with the creation and validation of the CIB sections in the 10K/Q in partnership with SEC reporting as well as the Proxy Statement and CEO letters of the Annual Report

  • Partnering with CIB and Corporate teams to structure and draft earnings documents

  • Liaising with LOB teams/functions (Investor Relations, Corporate P&A, LOB P&A, etc.) for monthly reporting and ad-hoc analyses

  • Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to support JPMC's annual investor day presentation

  • Participating in the Control and Governance agenda for deliverables including internal audits and RCSA

  • Developing talking points and other supporting information for industry conferences and senior management meetings with external investors/analysts

  • Supporting and driving the competitor intelligence agenda including summarizing competitor strategic commentary and industry performance for a broad audience including executive management

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in the financial services industry with a top-tier bank, in a CIB-equivalent line of business or equity/credit research with focus on financials

  • Strong understanding of and ability to analyze financial statements and data for J.P. Morgan and its peer financial institutions

  • Working knowledge of CIB products and the financial market, with the ability to grasp technical details.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels

  • Strong MS Office skills (primarily Excel/PowerPoint)

  • Progress toward CFA a plus.
