Group Description :

Within Wealth Management (WM), the Control Management organization’s primary function is to ensure a sustainable and disciplined end-to-end control environment; identify and escalate issues with a sense of urgency; and partner with the business to ensure timely remediation of issues.

The Control Program Management (CPM) team manages the transition of major Control Management programs from in-flight projects to a sustainable future-state BAU within WM, including (i) planning and leading the transition of those programs from individual program teams into the Control Management organization framework; (ii) directing processes that ensure ongoing sustainability across the WM business; and, (iii) serving as the subject matter lead to key members of the Control Management organization and our business partners across all regions, products and practices WM-wide. Today the team has global responsibility across a portfolio of programs and initiatives including Records Management, Material Risk Inventory, Risk Control Self-Assessment, Cross Border, New Business Initiative Approval.

Position Description :

The Analyst/Associate will work with senior leaders and team members across Wealth Management, its businesses, products, regions and functions. The Analyst/Associate will also partner with peers and leaders in Asset Management, other LOBs and across firmwide functions. Based in Brooklyn, the Analyst/Associate will have a portfolio of responsibilities affording them a mix of opportunities to execute, collaborate, and directly lead/own assignments within the team. Analysts can expect to gain exposure to colleagues at various levels in WM business management, legal, risk, compliance, controls management, operations and technology. Key responsibilities of the role include (examples):

  • Partnering directly with corporate program offices, corporate functions, and WM business managers to understand challenges, analyze information and propose solutions

  • Assisting senior team members with ad hoc analyses and other deliverables in support of the team’s overall mission

  • Designing, building and/or enhancing management information tools, capabilities and processesAnalyzing key metrics and status indicators, and designing and producing program management materials for execution planning and leadership review

  • Integrating global tracking data across business commitments, program objectives, implementation plans and key deliverables status

  • Participating in cross-LOB working groups and senior management meetings focused on key projects

  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with internal partners and senior managers

  • Specific projects and programs the Analyst/Associate may work on include Records Management, Material Risk Inventory, Risk Control Self-Assessment, Cross Border, New Business Initiative Approval

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years post-college work experience, ideally in financial services or management consulting

  • Strong conceptual and analysis skills, with ability to synthesize data, develop business insights and solve problems

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including designing and creating concise communication materials for senior leaders and business management

  • Ability to multi-task and organize work to meet deadlines across multiple assignments

  • Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills (required)

  • Ability to effectively balance multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with ability to interact with colleagues at all levels

  • Bachelor’s degree required
