Virtual Command Center Visualization & Analytics Lead for Commercial Banking’s Business Continuity Group
Commercial Banking (CB) serves more than 30,000 clients, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions, and not-for-profit entities with annual revenues generally ranging from $20 million to $2 billion. The Firm's broad platform positions the Commercial Bank to deliver extensive product capabilities - lending, treasury services, investment banking, and asset management - to meet our clients' domestic and international financial needs.
As part of the Chief Administration Office organization, this position will be part of the Commercial Banking Business Continuity team, which is accountable for ensuring the availability of the firm’s services to our clients, and the safety of our employees in the event of technology, weather, and other events that may affect and disrupt our operations.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join a new initiative that will transform how we predict changes in our business environment and manage the client experience when disruptions occur.
Commercial Banking is establishing a Virtual Command Center (VCC) to equip the organization with tools that measure the health of essential systems and processes, and manage the impact of technology incidents and other disruptions to our clients and employees in real time. The VCC will transform our ability to understand and proactively manage and enhance the experience that our clients have across their relationships with the firm.
As part of this new initiative and team, the Product Lead will play a vital and highly visible role in establishing and executing the priorities and requirements for the Virtual Command Center, as well as operationalizing the capabilities and leading adoption by different user communities.
The individual will be a hands-on contributor and leader who can partner effectively with functional team members across the organization, including Global Technology; Data, Analytics, and Tools; Product Management; and Client Service. Because the VCC will bring together all aspects of our clients’ relationships with the firm, there will be extensive engagement across products and lines of business, including areas such as treasury services/ cash management, digital channels, and wholesale lending.
Lead experience design of Virtual Command Center, with a focus on usability for key audiences and an applied understanding of current analytics and visualization technologies and best practices
Establish information architecture to support different use cases and audiences, e.g., employee and operations impact assessment in a weather-related event affecting JPMC locations, and client impact associated with a technology outage
Help to determine how existing or tactical solutions can be integrated into VCC experience as strategic capabilities are built out
Partner seamlessly with CB Technology engineering teams, including participation throughout Agile SDLC lifecycle
Lead development of interim dashboard development as a means of both delivering short-term benefits and testing new concepts. This will be done in partnership with Data, Analytics, and Tools “Dashboard Factory” team and in alignment with their standards
Develop and promote value-added ideas for new insights that can be derived from new data and analytics capabilities (e.g., leading indicators of clients at risk)
Develop or expand understanding of Commercial Banking business and client priorities, which will inform your work
Conduct periodic user research and usability testing discipline to maximize benefits of new capabilities and gain insights into new opportunities
Minimum 6 years’ experience in the financial services industry, or equivalent relevant experience in consulting or another industry
Demonstrated track record of progressive experience in the design and development of business intelligence solutions, and knowledge of current best practices and trends
Hands-on development experience with Qlik or similar modern business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft BI)
Prior experience with Agile delivery methodology and team participation across full software development lifecycle
Excel in cross-functional teams and coordinating across multiple stakeholder groups in a complex environment
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Strong partnership skills and an ability to influence a diverse stakeholder community
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Passion for driving continuous improvement, with a relentless focus on client experience
Ability to adapt to changes in priorities, new technologies, and other factors in a rapidly evolving space
Sound judgment in balancing short-term progress and benefits with integrity of strategic vision
Advanced degree from a relevant discipline
Advanced technical/ engineering experience with business intelligence and/ or data visualization technologies
Prior experience conducting user research and usability testing
Previous experience in core products and/ or digital channel delivery of treasury services/ cash management products and/ or other banking services
Data modelling and/ or governance experience
Proficiency with SharePoint or similar collaboration tools
