JPMorgan Chase Business System Analyst in Columbus, Ohio

As a Business System Analyst you will be responsible for the development and implementation of processes necessary to improve application / system reliability along with operational support. The BSA will support the production processes that utilize the systems, identify table impacts and work with IT and partners to test and implement requested updates.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Work with internal clients to formulate and innovate theoretical processes (using technology) that add business value

  • Ability to work in databases to perform analysis, data mining and reporting

  • Analyze patterns of production incidents, develop permanent remediation plans, and implement automation to prevent future incidents from occurring through software engineering

  • Maintain a good relationship with key sponsors

  • Capture of business requirements and use cases

  • Driving requirements through user due diligence and sign off

  • Partner with developers to ensure requirements are implemented as per specification

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science/Engineering

  • Experience working in an Agile Development environment

  • Knowledge in performance engineering and monitoring

  • Knowledge of Configuration Management tools

  • Ability to clearly define and articulate business requirements.

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills

  • Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills

  • Project management skills, including breaking requirements down into technical deliverables and estimating

  • Experience and/or willing to be involved in the technical detail of projects and systems

  • Proactive, self-motivated and flexible with a positive attitude

  • Strong time management skills; efficient at multi-tasking and able to work under pressure to deliver multiple business demands on-time, to a high-level standard work required
