JPMorgan Chase Central Support Associate in Columbus, Ohio

Chase Business Banking operates in over 5,000 branches across the country, providing financial services to approximately 2.5 million business clients. We are the leading bank for small businesses in our key markets, providing deposit and cash management services, payment solutions, and a broad array of lending products to meet our clients access to capital needs.

As a Central Support Associate, in Business Banking, you will be a part of the Monitoring Team in Business Banking and will own several key monitoring reports. You will require a strategic view of the business operating model as well as an understanding of what is required to manage and mitigate risks and controls.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for new and significant monitoring activities for Business Banking including Client Assignment, Banker Behavior and Automated System Controls

  • Adapt existing processes and procedures from other Businesses (i.e., Consumer Bank) and lead new ones for the Monitoring Team

  • Partner effectively with colleagues across the firm (i.e., Business, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Controls, Risk, Audit, and Technology) to drive consistent and rigorous operational risk practices and control programs

  • Lead by example, with exemplary personal and professional attributes. Inspire confidence in all levels of staff as well as key partners from other functional areas and across all lines of business

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 5 years' of financial services experience in controls or risk management, or compliance

  • Demonstrate confident leadership and sound judgment to influence a strong culture and risk management

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to develop compelling and meaningful executive presentations to drive opportunities and recommendations for improvement

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Controls, Audit, Risk, Legal or Compliance experience

  • General business knowledge, including the ability to understand the business and knowledge of regulation surrounding business

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, collaboration, and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work autonomously to effect change; be flexible and, adapt to shifting priorities; manage competing priorities to achieve the most effective result; and work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment

  • Process analysis and design acumen, including the ability to understand a process and associated risk to inform control design

  • Problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical skills. Detailed oriented, and capable of synthesizing large amounts of data and formulating appropriate conclusions
