The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance and Business Management (F&BM) group provides financial advice to support the CIB’s business strategy and helps to ensure a sound control environment. Within F&BM, the four major areas of responsibility are: Business-aligned BMs (Business Managers), the CIB Controller, Support Staff CFO, and Planning and Analysis.

Finance & Business Management’s goals are to ensure sound control environments and provide financial advice to support the business strategy. Within F&BM, the Controllers organization is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity of the financial statements and controls over the transaction cycle; performing critical reporting functions for the organization, both financial and regulatory, as well as ensuring execution and implementation of the overall financial architecture.

The Corporate and Investment Bank Chief Administrative Office Finance & Business Management’s goal is to provide financial advice to support the business strategy for technology and operations in a controlled environment. This team is looking for an Associate to lead change delivery and application support activities within the CIB CAO F&BM Systems and Tools team.

Responsibilities

  • Leadchange delivery of dashboard creation provided to our CIB CAO F&BMstakeholders

  • Coordinateacross global teams to design, develop, test and implement datavisualisation dashboards, primarily Tableau, to succinctly convey results,trends and insights to business partners

  • Workwith stakeholders to understand systems flow, data usage, and businessprocesses to collect data from various sources and long term, anticipate businessrequirements and make well informed recommendations on potential solutions

  • Responsiblefor maintaining consistency across dashboards and enforcing best practicesas well as influencing the long term evolution of our reporting/analyticscapabilities

  • Efficientlyrespond to user requests and provide timely resolution/remediation of anychallenges

  • Establishstrong working relationships with team across different lines ofbusinesses and functions (e.g. CIB F&BM, CIB Tech, CIB Operations,etc.) and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teamsin a fast-paced environment

  • Managetimelines as well as risks, issues, dependencies and action items acrossmultiple projects

  • Anticipate,identify and remediate risks before they become issues; and consistentlydemonstrates sound judgment in knowing when, what and who to escalate

  • Identifyopportunities for process and improvements and drive those from concept toimplementation

The ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude, be detail oriented, and have a strong aptitude for analysing large, complex data sets to deliver high quality reporting in a fast paced, results-driven environment.

  • College-educated withComputer Science background and 4+ years of relevant experience inanalytics and data visualization techniques

  • Must haveworking knowledge of Tableau. Any experience in other BusinessIntelligence tools (e.g. Cognos, QlikView, QlikSense, or BusinessObjects) a plus

  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) and PowerPoint

  • Confident communicator at all levels and ability to articulate complex issues concisely

  • Self-starter with strong problem solving skills who can independently drive results

  • Ability to execute tasks under aggressive targets and effectively manage changes in plan

  • Highly effective time management skills performed with minimal directions/supervision

  • Proven track record of quality analysis with sound questioning and excellent attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Ability to thrive in a changing work environment

  • Generalknowledge of Corporate and Investment Bank businesses andfinancial tracking tools within technology or operationsorganisations, as well as an interest in both technology andthe financial industry

  • Familiarity with Finance andBusiness Management or Planning & Analysis functions andreporting requirements would be an advantage
