JPMorgan Chase Market Risk Analyst in Columbus, Ohio
JP Morgan Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) is hiring a Market Risk professional to join the Asset & Wealth Management Risk Analytics team. Risk Analytics is a team of experienced quantitative, market, and counterparty risk oriented professionals responsible for Newton, the AM Independent Risk system. Newton calculates risk across the Global Equity, Global Fixed Income and Multi-Asset LOBs within Asset Management, and is used by the Asset & Wealth Management Investment and Counterparty Risk Managers, and the front-office.
The individual will work with the Asset & Wealth Management Risk Analytics teams in New York and Bangalore and will:
Job Responsibilities
• Perform daily validation of the risk analytics produced by Newton. This will include sensitivity, stress, Value at Risk, and factor modeling, for both investment (market) and counterparty (credit) risk.
• Provide risk analysis to Asset & Wealth Management Risk and business managers of Newton at both the portfolio level and security level by determining the qualitative and quantitative factors driving change in risks and exposures. This will include interaction with Risk teams in Hong Kong, London and New York. • Produce risk reports for both Asset & Wealth Management Risk Managers and senior management.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
Have a good understanding of the Equity and Fixed Income (rates and credit) products and markets; understanding of related derivatives, foreign exchange, commodity and structured/securitized products a plus
Have a good understanding of portfolio and risk measurement concepts, including sensitivity, stress testing and Value at Risk analysis
Strong technical skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required; experience with SQL and python a plus
Have 1 - 3 years of experience in a Risk Management , Finance, or related role
B.A. degree required , ideally in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field
