As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within CCB, Banking and Wealth Management you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems

• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems

• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development

• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems

• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture

• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• BS/BA degree in computers or related field or equivalent experience

• Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines

• Understanding of architecture and design across all systems

• Ability to translate functional requirements to technical design

• 5+ years of strong experience in Core Java, Object Oriented Programming, Spring, Springboot

• 3+ Years of working with front-end technologies like ReactJS, NextJS, Angular etc.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodology and leveraging SDLC tools to improve development and testing efficiency (JIRA, Jenkins, GIT, JUnit, Karate)

• Proficient in micro services frameworks and tools (Spring Boot)

• Proficient in Cloud and Container based development (AWS, Kube) is a plus

• Proficient in programming/application development experience utilizing Java, Spring Boot, REST, Micro Services, Cloud Native, DevOps and Test-Driven Development

• Knowledge of container-based development and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices

• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture

• Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills (OOAD)

• Experience working in Agile teams, ability to focus and grasp business concepts

• In-depth knowledge of the financial systems

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies

• Exposure to cloud technologies

• Good understanding of Banking Domain
