JPMorgan Chase Software Engineer in Columbus, Ohio

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop, test and maintain applications, and frameworks. Research, analyze and implement new software technologies for designing frameworks and provide to the developer community to accelerate and ease new technologies adoption. Participate in project meetings with product owners and team members to analyze project requirements and outlined proposed solutions. Partner with cloud accelerating teams to enhance software deployment process. Participate in regular code reviews, code quality checks and code coverage. Employ design and implementation techniques to drive business value. Understand and comply with Software Design Lifecycle and agile methodologies in all planning steps and adhere to IT control policies through design, development, testing and maintenance of applications. Support application teams by providing software tools and technical guidance necessary to adopt modern technologies to reduce the friction in Software Development Life Cycle.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Master's degree in Computer and Information Science, Computer Science, or related field of study plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience as an Applications Developer, Computer Programmer, or related occupation. The employer will accept a Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience in lieu of the Master's degree and one (1) year of experience.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following skills: React and Angular frameworks including ES5, Node.js, and CSS; Spring Boot; SCM such as Git; Maven; Database implementation and working with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate and JPA or MyBatis; Logging and Monitoring tools such as Logstash, Kibana, and Grafana; Code analysis tools such as Fortify and SonarQube; Programming languages including PL/SQL, Java, and JavaScript; TDD using Unit testing tools such as JUnit and Mockito; Refactoring concepts and how they apply when building and maintaining high-quality solutions; Spring framework features such as IOC, AOP, and Spring JDBC; Developing Restful web services with Spring Boot; SQL editor such as SQL Developer or TOAD; Building and deploying web applications using tools such as Bamboo and Jenkins; Jira; Fisheye for issue tracking and code integration; IntelliJ Integrated Development Environment such as Idea Intellij or Eclipse; Log4J including commons logging and log back for logging purposes across the applications; Apache tomcat web servers for web applications and developed a Restful web services with spring boot.JPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
