JPMorgan Chase Software Engineer in Columbus, Ohio

Duties: Collaborate with the business team to understand requirements and validate stories in JIRA to reflect the correct requirements. Provide technical designs and solutions for the specified business requirements. List all technical tasks needed to achieve the requirement. Write code to build the desired software. Develop JUnit code to unit test the code written. Build automation tests using Selenium. Build artifacts to promote code into environments and use Jenkins and CICD during the process. Review code written by other developers in the team and check to verify that written code has no vulnerabilities or errors. Provide code for testing to the Functional test team and User Acceptance (UAT) test. Fix bugs in the code found during testing and provide testing support during the entire process. Carry out deployments in all environments (DEV/TEST/UAT(PERF)/PRODUCTION) and develop automation around all processes using Jenkins and CICD. Open firewalls and setup Load Balancer rules when required.

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as a Technical Architect, Programmer, Application Developer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills: Java and J2EE; Spring Framework; IBM Websphere Application Server; Java Server Pages (JSP); JavaScript; jQuery; CSS; IBM Websphere Message Broker (WMB); IBM Websphere Message Queue (WMQ); IBM WebSphere Service Registry and Repository (WSRR); IBM DataPower; SOAP & REST Web Services; Oracle database; MySQL; and Toad and SQL Developer.
