JPMorgan Chase CCOR Compliance Senior Officer in Jersey City, New Jersey

We are seeking a Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk Associate who will effectively partner with Line of Business and global/regional Compliance teams; including Internal Audit, Operational Risk and other Control functions. This position requires knowledge and experience in Compliance, as well as familiarity with regulatory and/or audit best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute on key strategic compliance initiatives within the context of the firm's global compliance mandate

  • Review and disposition employee requests to pre-clear political contributions and political activities

  • Manage and execute processes involving regulatory filings relating to political contributions, gifts/entertainment, and lobbying activity

  • Disposition and render advice on general anti-corruption issues relating to U.S. federal/state/local government officials and non-U.S. government officials across the firm's lines of business, Corporate Investment Bank, Commercial Banking, Commercial and Consumer Bank and Asset and Wealth Management including gifts, entertainment, sponsorships, and charitable contributions with a nexus to government officials

  • Execute and help develop processes to identify government-related clients and activities

  • Coordinate production of metrics and other management information

  • Provide analytical and organizational support in the development and implementation of anti-corruption and political contributions compliance activities

  • Assist with managing the risks and controls affecting the anti-corruption compliance program, political contributions covered population, including the review of political contribution pre-clearance requests, assisting with political contribution and gifts and entertainment related technology

  • Document, draft and and/or enhance anti-corruption procedures

  • Review potential breaches to the anti-corruption and political contribution control framework and issue violations based on outcome of the review and the violations framework

  • Assist with internal and external audits and exams

  • Help to develop and create power point presentations to update compliance management on issues related to the anti-corruption program, risks and controls

  • Identify potential concerns and control issues

  • Work collaboratively with team members across LOBs and staff areas and participate actively in working groups

  • Support a culture of and emulate high ethical standards

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant Compliance or other related experience; such as Risk management, Audit, or similar Control-related experience

  • U.S. Political Compliance/Law, anti-corruption, or anti-bribery experience is a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to identify key issues and obtain appropriate information for further analysis

  • Must be highly analytical with experience in collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing information on various subjects

  • Must possess solid written and oral communications skills

  • Teamwork skills; you must be flexible in work style and be able to work appropriately with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels

  • Strong PC Skills including Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint and other reporting tools

  • Ability to establish credibility and strong partnerships with senior business leaders, control functions, and corporate partners globally

  • Ability to manage numerous reviews and confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
