Finance and Risk Data Operations (FRDO) is a global center of excellence ensuring a timely, accurate and complete data set for Risk, Finance and Treasury Reporting with best-in-class toolsets. FRDO is part of the broader Treasury/CIO Operations organization. The Data Profiling, Analysis, and Resolution (DPAR) Team, one of four core groups within Finance & Risk Data Operations, is responsible for owning, analyzing, and bringing Finance Risk Warehouse (FRW) and Risk DAC recurring data quality issues to strategic remediation. The DPAR team is responsible for partnering with firmwide consumers and LOBs to understand data quality issues and perform root cause analysis across all products. The major product categories include Derivatives, Cash Securities, Traditional Credit Products and Deposits. The DPAR team works with data suppliers across all lines of business, technology and operations teams to understand the issues in order to determine actions required to bring them to closure. The role will have lineage into the T/CIO Chief Data Office as well as the Firmwide Chief Data Office in support of issue resolution and closure. The DPAR team is seeking a strong VP level professional candidate to drive key business initiatives aimed at resolving data quality issues.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Collaborate with the LOB, Consumers, andTechnology to perform root cause analysis and develop the strategicremediation path for existing data quality issues for data being sourcedinto and consumed from the FRW and Risk DAC. This includes understanding the end toend process and controls.
Asset Class lead for FRW/Risk DAC DQ issues inclusiveof prioritization, issue analysis/remediation, and ultimate issueresolution.
Monitor, track and update entries in theData Quality Management (DQM) tool for systemic data issues requiring attention.
Coordinate with Credit, Treasury, andFinance consumers to understand data quality issues related to transactionand position data sourced via FRW and Risk DAC.
Act as a subject matter expert around therisk infrastructure environment assisting various teams with ad hocrequests.
Document processes and procedures for resolution andcoordinate the hand over to the Finance and Risk Operations team whenrequired.
Ensure completeness of business requirements with aclear understanding of operational issues, and resolution and ownershipof issues related to on-boarding new supplies.
Monitor progress against actions plans until completionand closure of issue
Provide regular status updates to management; developpresentations and materials
Compile executive summary documents forassigned data quality issues
Escalate issues to the appropriate level of managementdiligently
A bachelors degree or equivalent is required
7-10 years experience in the financial servicesindustry
Highly energetic self starter with a focus on obtaining results
Ability to lead and influence without having positional authorityin order to progress initiatives
Strong analytical / critical thinking and problem solving skills;able to develop and clearly present drawn conclusions & potentialsolutions with consideration to inherent risks
Strong project management skills with experiencerunning large meetings with demonstrated success at achievingresults and keeping meetings on track
Ability to communicate effectively at many levels of theorganization including synthesizing key messagesfor senior management
Ability to multi-task, work under tightdeadlines, and quickly adjust to changing priorities
Capability to work both independently with strongfollow through and adapt to team environment
Aptitude to think outside the box and balancestrategic objectives with the need to make interim tactical choices inorder to sustain progress
Proficient in MS Office suite of products (Excel,VISIO, PowerPoint)
Subject Matter Expertise across products (Derivatives,Securities, Loans, Deposits) a plus
