JPMorgan Chase Senior Lead Software Engineer - Product Acceleration Garage in Jersey City, New Jersey

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the CCB US Wealth Management, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a member of the agile acceleration and innovation team you will be drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple cutting edge technologies and applications by gaining the skills and experience needed.

Job responsibilities

  • Regularly provide technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.

  • Develop secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.

  • Drive decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes

  • Drive motivation and mentor team with latest technical knowledge & innovation.

  • Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.

  • Actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle

  • Influence peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies.

  • Add to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills.

  • 8+ years' experience working as an Application Developer.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field or the foreign equivalent.

  • AWS Developer or Solutions Architect certification minimum at Associate level or working experiences of software development on AWS

  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines

  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.

  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s) like Java, Python etc.

  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, GenAI, LLM, GPT , machine learning, mobile, etc.)

  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.

  • Practical cloud native experience

  • Self-starter who proactively identifies and solves problems in a fast-moving world.

  • Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proficiency in Azure Fundamentals and AWS Cloud

  • Experience in Data Streaming and Event based solutions.

  • Hands-on expertise with AWS Cloud and Big Data technology.

  • Experience with API, REST Service and Security/Authorization.

  • Proficiency in Java , Python ,Web Servers, ReactJS

  • Knowledge of LLM, OpenAI /GPT-4, Prompt Engineering, and AI Services

  • Experience with AWS Data & AI Servers like Glue, EMR, Sagemaker etc.

  • Proficiency in Relational or Non-Relational (NoSQL) Databases
