Investor Services Finance & Business Management is seeking Vice President level Business Manager based in New York for Fixed Income Financing ("FIF") business.
Fixed Income Financing has a global product offering including sovereign, corporate, MBS, emerging markets and structured financing. The business engages in client market making providing financing or collateral to a diverse client base including Banks, Broker/ Dealers, Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, etc. It also performs critical internal functions including financing inventory and short coverage of internal Fixed Income desks, sourcing collateral for internal programs and assisting in compliance with firm-wide balance sheet and liquidity ratio management (e.g., LCR, Leverage, etc).
The Business Manager works across the organization to provide support to senior leadership, and is critical for driving strategic analysis, process improvement, financial analysis and controls.
This is a regional role that sits within the CIB Investor Services F&BM organization under the leadership of Global FIF Business Manager.
Responsibilities for the FIF Business Manager role will focus primarily on the North America (“NA”) region and include:
DriveGrowth and Strategy
Ensureimplementation of business strategies and help drive change
Communicatebusiness strategy, performance and priorities (e.g. Town Halls, Offsites, BusinessReviews, Investor Day)
Trackprogress to ensure delivery
Escalateissues and roadblocks
Provideanalytics for business decisions
OptimizeNorth America Business Performance
CoordinateNA portion of the annual Plan / Budget process
Driveregular expense reviews to ensure targets are met
Assistin investment / productivity initiatives (headcount, technology spend, etc)
Ensurecompliance with expense policies
Overseeoccupancy and people moves
Manage Business Risks
Assistwith regulatory reform issues that impact the business
Identify,assess and mitigate business risks that could impair the ability to dobusiness:
NBIA(New Business Initiatives)
CSA(Control Self Assessment)
Auditand Regulatory reviews
5-7years work experience in financial services/ Financing
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related required
BusinessManagement / COO experience stronglypreferred
FixedIncome or Financing background and knowledge strongly preferred
Exceptionalverbal and written communications skills
Goodjudgment, maturity and poise to enable interaction/influencing of senior management
Thoughtfulanalytical skills; able to develop, clearly present and draw conclusions
Strongproject management skills
Selfstarter able to prioritize key tasks effectively
