As a Commercial Banker in the Media, Communications & Digital Infrastructure Middle Market Banking Segment, your role is to be the focal point of client acquisition and ongoing relationships, working both independently and as part of a team. The role also involves introducing comprehensive solutions to clients and growing and retaining profitable relationships within the Media, Communications and Digital Infrastructure target space.
Our Bankers are required to offer solutions to clients across various product sets including, but not limited to: Credit, Treasury Services, Asset Management, Investment Banking, International Banking, Syndicated Finance, Commercial Card and Chase Paymentech Solutions. Our strongest Bankers have a methodical approach to the market activity and prospecting. This role requires national travel as well as close collaboration within the Middle Market Banking and Specialized Industries organization and across the firm, including but not limited to Middle Office, Risk, Private Bank, and Investment Banking partner.
Job Responsibilities
Champion a culture of innovation and a customer centric mindset
Stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships
Find ways to further efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation, while embracing the innovative opportunities offered by new technologies
Collaborate with partners across the firm to deliver full capabilities of the firm to clients
Develop and execute sales plan prioritizing revenue generating sales opportunities, cultivate referral sources, and institutionalize relationships and calling
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
5 plus years' direct lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships
Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services
Ability to collaborate with internal partners and resources
Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners
FINRA Series 79, 63 and Securities Industry Essentials licenses required or must obtain within 180 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
Bachelor's degree and formal credit training preferred
Sales management, business development skills, proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
Strong creative solution, problem solving abilities, flexible to changing business priorities and ability to multitask
Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, self-directed, proactive and creative
