JPMorgan Chase Country Risk Lead in New York, New York

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Develop enterprise risk management metrics (e.g. credit counterparty, market, liquidity, legal entity risks), and proprietary risk quantitative models and tools to size the risk of loss from doing business in a country. Lead process around improvement and re- engineering of risk methodologies and contribute to broader initiatives, including quantifying country risk appetite, cross border transfer and convertibility risk, wrong way and contingent risk exposures. Devise country bespoke deep dive stress narratives and analyses aimed at highlighting key risk concentrations to respond to requests from C-Suite senior management and external regulators when country risk is increasing due to emerging geopolitical risks. Assessment of complex products, including non-linear and bespoke transactions, to determine the impact to country level risk measures. Implement robust control environments for internal audit and external regulatory requests, new country limits or threshold management frameworks and ongoing quantitative model performance testing. Formulate strategic road map for upgrade and development of data analysis and visualization tools implemented via intelligent solutions, such as Tableau and Python. Lead discussions with sovereign analyst team focused on country portfolio risk concentrations and underlying market stress and credit risk forecasted costs, and their respective business impacts. Project management oversight of business initiatives, ensuring cross functional teamwork to define and implement requirements and addressing bottlenecks, to achieve workflow improvement end results. Steering committee member of firm's cross-functional advisory board promoting diversity, equity and inclusion; Coaches juniors on product risk and country risk methodologies. Recommend and endorse appropriate new business transaction and product structures relative to risk assessment and policy considerations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Science, Technology, Math, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Risk Management Associate or Analyst, or related occupation.

Job Location: 237 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10017. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.

Salary: $168,000.00-$206,000.00 per year..
