JPMorgan Chase Senior Web UI Software Engineer in New York, New York

As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you’ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

  • Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines

  • Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes

  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management

  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals

  • The Digital Technology Team is looking for a Senior Web UI Software Engineer with strong technical skills, with a though understanding of the agile development process. We are building best in class Digital applications and API’s.

  • As a Lead Application Developer , you are expected to be a team facilitator and be responsible for bringing the team together to deliver.

  • Lead efforts to code, design, and testing in a heterogeneous technology environment e.g. JavaScript MVC, HTML, CSS, Java/ J2EE

  • This role requires experience in Java/J2EE or .Net, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • You have a passion for creating the best user experience possible.

  • As a Software Engineer, drive the Technical team and the Product Owners in an Agile development process.

  • 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering with:

  • Web development experience working on Windows or Java platforms

  • Experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and Spring frameworks

  • Java/J2EE or .Net, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Spring, AJAX, & JSON skills for implementing web technologies

  • Understanding in JQuery, NodeJS, AngularJS, extJS, SenchaTouch Framework, Promise, and other frameworks like (FlightJS, requireJS, wireJS , AngularJS)

  • Understanding of the AJAX and Spring frameworks

  • Experience with other Agile/Lean practices such as XP or Kanban

  • Participation in Test Driven Development or Business Driven Development

  • Practice of Continuous Integration or Continuous Delivery

  • Excellent understanding of development concepts and SDLC methodologies
