JPMorgan Chase Sr. Full Stack Java Developer in New York, New York

The Data Aggregation Team within Chase Digital Technology is searching for an Engineering Lead.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead/Manage a team that develops smart and scalable solutions and provide a solid experience for our users.

  • Converse fluently in the full web-technology stack including various back-end technologies - Core Java

  • Design and develop using both backend and front end technologies like Java, Javascript, RESTful services, Microservices, Kafka, Cassandra, AWS etc

  • Own technology delivery and have ability to influence business stakeholders in prioritizing the delivery roadmap.

  • Work closely with business partners to make sure business requirements in the form of production release deliverables are met.

  • Develop an understanding of our products and the problems we are attempting to solve. Go beyond working from requirements... help architect the system and ship production ready code early and often in a scrum shop.

  • Help us grow our platform with clever, long-lasting solutions that serve to grow our business.

  • Conduct and participate in Agile Scrum calls to ensure technical and business partners have current status on delivery progress.

  • Ensure code has met or exceeded performance, stability, resiliency and security/cyber needs.

  • Ensure technology infrastructure stability and hygiene and own production assurance

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Design and develop using both backend and front end technologies like Java, Javascript, RESTful services, Microservices, Kafka, Cassandra, AWS etc

  • Solid hands-on experience with server side technologies, REST, APIs

  • Solid understanding of micro service architecture and cloud computing infrastructure

  • Sound understanding of JavaScript programming language, its quirks, browser agnostic coding, blazing fast performance, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3 and JS code is a plus.

  • Excellent knowledge of Oracle DB and MSSQL skills are required

  • Experience with data aggregators in fintech space is a big plus

  • Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines

  • Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems

  • Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages

  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices

  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management

  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals

  • Passionate about building an innovative culture

  • Experience working with agile methodology is required.

  • Experience working in a financial / banking application will be a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

  • Any version control management software such as Subversion, GIT, Jira, Quality Center knowledge is required.
