The position is Associate for Multi and Single Asset Investment Research, based in New York. The Multi and Single Asset Investment Research Associate will be a member of the Investment Director Team within the Wealth Management Investment Solutions Investment & Research Team, reporting to the E.D. in the Wealth Management Investment Director Team. The group is responsible for performing due diligence on and collaborating with portfolio management teams within Wealth Management Investment Solutions. These portfolio management teams are responsible for strategic, tactical, and vehicle/security-level decisions across traditional, multi-asset, and alternative asset classes. The Investment & Research Team comprises individuals in New York, London, Geneva, Brazil, and Mexico and is highly collaborative across teams and regions. The Investment and Research Team also manages the governance, operational due diligence, and research and technology efforts for Wealth Management discretionary assets.
Perform investment due diligence on the suite of multi and single asset class portfolio management teams within Wealth Management Investment Solutions
Identify potential process improvements and collaborate with PM teams to enable those improvements
Collaborate with internal partners in investment solutions, due diligence, risk management, quantitative research, portfolio execution, compliance, and operations
Effectively communicate findings to senior business leaders
Monitor markets to understand current drivers and market sentiment at the asset class and sub-asset class level
Bachelors degree; advanced degree and/or CFA charter holder preferred
4-6 years relevant work experience with a strong quantitative skillset
Some experience in portfolio management, research generation, or due diligence of multi-asset class portfolios
Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment on a global team
Basic understanding of equity, fixed income, commodity and currency market drivers and characteristics
Strong understanding of multi-asset portfolio construction and risk management
A disciplined and structured mindset with a strong desire for the team to build a sustainable & repeatable process
