JPMorgan Chase Control Manager in Newark, Delaware

As a Control Management Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the line of business has a sustainable and disciplined end-to-end control environment, identifying and escalating issues with a sense of urgency, and partnering with the business to ensure issues are remediated in a timely manner. The team assists in top-down risk analysis, real-time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation. As a member of the HR Controls Governance and Reporting Team, the primary responsibility is to complete governance and reporting requirements to meet firmwide standards.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead material preparations for all global HR governing risk and control meetings including Regional and Functional Control Forums and the Business Control Committee (BCC). Support the head of HR for related Firmwide Control Committee (FCC), Internal Audit Board of Director meetings and executive presentations

  • Build strong partnerships with HR Leaders, Control Managers and Control Functions (i.e. Regulatory, Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, etc.) to manage overall HR Risk Profile

  • Identify, monitor, measure and escalate operational risk in accordance with firmwide operational risk programs, processes and all reporting requirements.

  • Perform ongoing analysis of program related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) and develop ad-hoc reports as requested to support business-related programs and strategies

  • Assist with development of Risk & Control Self-Assessment mapping and documentations through participation in end-to-end process walkthroughs and deep dives with assigned business units as well as ongoing issue monitoring.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

  • 3-7 years of experience in financial services industry with background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance preferred; or equivalent subject matter expertise in a relevant business related function/operation

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
