JPMorgan Chase External Regulatory Reporting Associate - Capital Ratios in Newark, Delaware

Join our Corporate Treasury - Basel Measurement & Analytics (BM&A) team, a crucial part of the Firm's Treasury and Chief Investment Office (CIO) within Corporate Finance. We manage the firm's worldwide Funding and Liquidity risk and structural Interest Rate Risk across diverse asset classes. Our team also oversees the risk-weighted asset (RWA) and capital measurement processes, ensuring efficient capital management. We work closely with Finance, Risk, and Regulatory Policy teams, interpreting policies, overseeing implementation changes, and liaising with regulators. This role offers the opportunity to interact with various teams across Capital Management and the firm, requiring efficient work, effective communication, and influential skills.

As an External Regulatory Reporting Analyst - Capital Ratios within the Corporate Treasury - Basel Measurement & Analytics (BM&A) team, you will be a key player in managing the firm's funding and liquidity risk worldwide. You will interact with various teams across Capital Management and the firm, ensuring efficient and appropriate management of our capital. Your role will involve policy interpretation, oversight of implementation changes, and dialogue with regulators on RWA calculations and model changes. You will also be responsible for reporting and establishing Risk-Weighted Asset limits and managing the firm's capital stress testing processes. This role provides an opportunity to develop a strong understanding of regulatory capital rules and metrics, and to contribute to the successful implementation of new rules and guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary U.S. resource for External Reporting (ER) for Standardized and Advanced Risk Weighted Assets Reporting

  • Support monthly production and reporting of the firmwide Supplementary Leverage ratio (SLR), analyze and interpret trends and present drivers to senior management

  • Support all SLR and ER related BAU and adhoc deliverables (e.g. new rule implementation, QIS, audits, strategic initiatives, etc)

  • Develop a strong understanding of the new Basel 3 Endgame (ERBA) reporting requirements and support initiative for a successful implementation in September 2025

  • Develop a strong understanding of regulatory capital rules along with related ratios (CET1 ratio, Tier1 ratio, Total Capital ratio, SLR, GSIB score) and metrics to enable delivery of core reporting and analysis

  • Ensure FFIEC 101 and HC-R/RC-R reports are accurate and fit-for-filing with Regulators, liaising regularly with Schedule Owners and Report Owners to clear edit checks across filing platforms

  • Drive firm-wide initiatives to ensure delivery of a consistent and sound operating model as it applies to the production of Basel Regulatory Capital framework across the firm by developing and syndicating guidelines documents

  • Pursue the resolution of open issues actively identified by partnering with relevant teams including LOBs and Regulatory Policy to ensure compliance with Basel rules

  • Respond to ad-hoc analytical requests from key partners such as Firm-wide Regulatory Reporting and Analysis, LOBs, Corporate Financial Reporting, Regulatory Policy as well as senior management

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities

  • At least 1 year of full time experience in a finance, control, risk or audit function

  • Bachelor's degree required, Finance/Accounting/Economics or related field

  • Creative self-starter with strong initiative, ability to take ownership and work with minimum supervision as well as contribute to the broader team

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines under pressure

  • Strong analytical skills, control mindset (ability to identify and close control gaps and / or issues)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint and Excel), as well as Alteryx and Tableau

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities

  • Experience in Regulatory Capital and/or External Reporting strongly preferred

  • Finance/Accounting/Economics or related field preferred
