Dealer Commercial Services (DCS) is a commercial lending unit of Chase Auto Finance. We specialize in lending to new car dealers in the US with sales ranging from small business to public auto dealerships. We provide floorplan, real estate, acquisition and commercial loans, along with cash management, derivatives and wealth management. We are one of the largest bank-owned floorplan lenders in the US.


As a Risk Analyst (RA) within DCS Wholesale Credit, you will assist our Chief Operating Office and Chief Risk Officer by supporting projects for various initiatives. The candidate may participate in multiple projects or initiatives across various geographic locations requiring strong presentation skills. Projects will involve stakeholders from and have impact to functions across the line of business. Project work typically has a substantial impact on the corporation/LOB and is geared towards revenue enhancement, cost reduction, risk mitigation, process improvement or other priorities as defined by management. Ad hoc requests involving data analysis in addition to scheduled activities are likely.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and/or participate in key business projects and priorities. Project activities may include:

  • Set and meet project priorities and deadlines

  • Direct activities, monitor details and follow-up tasks

  • Elicit requirements from all functional areas - Facilitate discussions cross-functionally, document in a clear fashion and manage changing requirements

  • Document current and future state operating models

  • Draft and deliver internal communications and necessary training

  • Create metrics reporting and report status tracking

  • Risk analysis responsibilities to include:

  • Identify data and reporting requirements

  • Collaborate with Risk and Reporting team to collect necessary data

  • Identify potential impacts to the Auto Industry and the risk profile of DCS’ customers

  • Create recommendation based on data analytics

  • Serve as Credit Subject Matter Expert for cross functional projects

  • Lead and develop agendas and presentation decks with an ability to present at all levels of management

  • Assist with policy and procedure management: understand Firm-wide Wholesale policies and guidelines and ability to interpret requirements and determine applicability to and across Dealer Commercial Services

  • BS/BBA in Finance, Accounting or other Business degree; or equivalent work experience

  • 5-7 years as a business or risk analyst; preferably in the financial or commercial lending industry

  • Commercial Credit Underwriting experience (preferred)

  • Knowledge of the Bank’s data environment, including SQL and CRRT (preferred)

  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint (preferred) skills

  • Experience and knowledge of the Auto Industry (preferred)

  • Must be highly disciplined, a self-starter, and have the ability to execute on assignments independently

  • Strong organizational, analytical and technical skills with the ability to multi-task and drive projects to completion

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with key partners and a variety of people throughout the organization
