JPMorgan Chase Project Management Office Vice President in Plano, Texas
The Commercial Banking Finance & Business Management team is seeking a project management professional to support the Technology organization, who has a penchant for storytelling with project/financial data, and is strategic, analytical and energetic. This is a high-impact opportunity on our Finance & Business Management team ensuring senior management across the Commercial Bank Technology have visibility into major initiatives, business metrics, financials and data insights to achieve their strategic objectives.
As a Project Management Office Vice President within the Commercial Banking Finance and Business Management group, you will be working as part of a team responsible for analyzing, understanding, and presenting technology strategy and program delivery in support of the Commercial Bank Chief Information Officer. This includes conducting monthly reviews, quarterly business reviews, mid-year forecasts and annual budgeting focusing on program management and investment governance.
You will work closely with multiple stakeholder groups across the firm to provide governance and execution reporting for Commercial Banking Technology's product delivery portfolio. These groups include Commercial Bank Tech Business Managers, Commercial Bank Tech Agility Leads and Project Managers, Global Technology Project Management Office and other groups as needed.
Job responsibilities
Prepare executive reporting packages (monthly/quarterly) to communicate Commercial Bank's execution and delivery results by product line highlighting key accomplishments
Deliver executive level / bi-weekly newsletters to showcase delivery spotlights, major client incidents and product level highlights from recently completed sprints
Work with Agility Leads / Project Managers to identify, track and maintain a consistent set of product milestones within the firmwide system of record. Provide automated reporting and/or dashboards to help enforce proper milestone hygiene and record the current state of delivery
Coach/Train individuals on proper usage of investment governance tools and how to define milestones in a clear, concise, and outcome-based manner
Play a pivotal role to identify, govern and report on the linkage between product strategy and technology execution. Drive standardization across technology and product owners linking objective & key results to milestones
Ensure adherence to technology investment governance, delivery management standards and underlying control procedures Engage with firmwide governance forums and internal audit to provide artifacts demonstrating control procedure compliance
Partner with key stakeholders to improve investment governance process and control procedures
Develop a FinOps program across Finance and Technology providing insight into infrastructure cost and optimization opportunities
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
5+ years of project/program management experience
Experience with firmwide project portfolio management systems
Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies / standards and lifecycle
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint with excellent presentation, data visualization skills and the ability to tell a high quality storyline
Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, leadership, and quantitative skills; aptitude to drive reporting and projects individually and with a team
Excellent interpersonal skills - must have the ability to build strong working relationships with the management team and team members within the business
Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment while meeting objectives and deadlines
Strong judgment and ability to handle confidential/sensitive information
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
3+ years of related banking experience
IT Strategy and/or Program Management Office experience
FinOps experience and/or basic cloud financial management skills
