JPMorgan Chase Merchant Services - Commercialization Lead (Vice President (603) in San Francisco, California

The Merchant Services Commercialization Lead position resides within the Commercialization team as an extension of the Product organization. Each Commercialization Lead covers a specific segment (i.e., SMB, CB, or CIB) and product family (e.g., terminals, insights, connectivity, etc.) and reports to the Executive Director of Commercialization. The Commercialization Lead joins a Commercialization team, which is responsible for developing and executing a go-to-market plan that delivers an exceptional client experience, in partnership with product management and other key business partners within the organization. The Commercialization Lead will oversee new product launches and major enhancements to existing products, as well as readiness for major change events that impact the segment.

Specifically, the Commercialization Lead is responsible for delivering and executing a go-to-market plan for each product launch or initiative by driving strong collaboration with the Product Manager and partners in Field Strategy, Operations and Marketing. The Product Manager is the subject matter expert for the product functionality and defines the product roadmap and business requirements for enhancements—the Commercialization Lead then partners with the Product Manager to provide a consultative service and hands-on support to bring new capabilities to market. The Commercialization Lead serves as an internal consultant to the Product Managers and is also responsible for publication of product collateral, as well as monitoring product KPI and KRIs following implementation.

Essential components of the role:

  • Develop, communicate and execute go-to-market commercialization plans for strategic product initiatives

  • Collaborate across all departments, conducting an impact assessment and identifying stakeholders are ready for planned implementation dates

  • Partner with marketing teams for on value proposition, client deliverables and communications

  • Partner with operations to ensure internal readiness and support

  • Partner with field strategy to ensure a thoughtful plan on sales readiness

  • Contribute to project planning process to ensure all readiness activities are included and tracked in the project delivery schedule

  • Develop and/or maintain product documentation and SharePoint knowledge sites

  • Become the subject matter expert to support business process questions, sales presentation and messaging deliverables, and training content planning and delivery

  • Deliver and/or coordinate and facilitate product training and knowledge transfer sessions to impacted audiences as requested

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Masters/MBA preferred with background in communications, marketing, sales, consulting and/or operations

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience including combination of product management and/or payments industry experience
