Global clearing is a line of JPMorgan's business that moves over $3tn worth of wholesale payments (B2B, C2B, B2C) every day - #1 in the world. We're looking for a product analyst with the ambition to one day work as a product manager and oversee the development, management, and commercialization of the next generation of wholesale payment products and services. As a product analyst, you will help your manager develop innovative strategies, design solutions aligned to your strategy, and ultimately support the delivery of new products. In doing so, you will need to use strong communication and organization skills to collaborate with all stakeholders: senior management, technologists, sales, service, operations, and legal. You will be the driver of all analysis and presentations leveraged to build new business cases - requiring both strong technical and soft skills. The experience you gain will prepare you to manage a payments product and eventually operate a payments business.
Key responsibilities for the analyst will include
Partnering with senior managers to translate strategy and vision into relatable strategy documents. These in turn will be instrumental in driving buy in senior executives and direction for partners.
Synthesizing investment strategy into clear, concise, and articulate business cases for senior executives to determine the future of this business.
Conducting market research of traditional (i.e. Banks) and new (i.e. Fintechs) competitors in the payment industry. This will entail using quantitative data from industry and internal data sources as well as qualitative data from leading payment experts.
Develop expertise in business through data driven revenue growth initiatives to help grow and manage the PnL.
Additional responsibilities includes
Lead small projects to deliver client recognition and marketing.
Perform ad hoc analysis synthesizing data across multiple sources.
Assist in day to day product responsibilities as required.
The ideal candidate possesses the following skills:
Degree in Statistics, Accounting, Finance or MIS related discipline is preferred.
Inquisitive nature with advanced problem solving and critical thinking capabilities.
Self motivated and has the ability to work with limited supervision.
Have demonstrated skills conducting analysis and research
Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to listen well and influence multiple stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritizes multiple tasks, and brings tasks to complete closure.
A self-starter who is organized and consistently meets deliverables.
Familiarity with the project lifecycle.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office suite a must.
Knowledge of industry query management tools such as Business Objects or Cognos is a plus.
