JPMorgan Chase Sanctions Screening Calibration Manager, Vice President in Tampa, Florida

Bring your expertise to Global Screening Operations (GSO), a firm-wide utility responsible for all transaction, message and client list screening at JPMorgan across all lines of business. GSO works closely with Compliance and the Lines of Business to ensure that the appropriate data and formats are submitted for screening, that the policies and procedures associated to the process support a robust and controlled sanction screening program and that all required transaction and client data is screened. GSO is always an audit-ready state from both internal and external auditors, including regulators. The team operates in multiple sites in a 24/7 day operating model: Manila, Mumbai, Singapore, Hyderabad, Delaware and Tampa are the core sites, and work closely with other screening departments around the globe.

As a Calibration manager in our GSO team, you will be responsible for testing and validation of the Client and Transaction Sanction Screening Environment. You will lead a team responsible for performing test and providing analytics on the filters used for Sanction Screening. You will be charged with understanding the filtering environments and the investigation of scenarios to explain risks and identify areas for improvement in the screening process.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the day to day Operations for the GSO Calibration Team and assist with the business deliverables of the team.

  • Organize and manage a strong and effective operations team

  • Oversee the Performance Management and Talent Review process

  • Identify business risk issues and work with the Operations Risk Analyst/Management to recommend solutions

  • Work with senior managers to identify technology, resource and/or process needs.

  • Identify opportunities for improvements in the process and recommends solutions

  • Participate or lead other sanctions Screening or LOB aligned initiatives as necessary

  • Create and maintain relationships with key stakeholder groups across lines of business

  • Create and deliver executive level presentations and updates

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

  • Relevant work experience managing a team

  • Promotes an inclusive work environment; respects individuals at every level

  • Possesses the ability to work on a diverse team and with a diverse range of people

  • Strength and confidence in communication skills across levels

  • Knowledge and experience within the Payments space; lifecycles and supporting control services

  • Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills, with a high aptitude for learning

  • Strong teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Strong communication, presentation (both oral and written) & influencing skills

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Functional knowledge of the Sanctions process and Payments

  • Extensive knowledge and experience utilizing the Microsoft office suite

  • Experience working and partnering with Technology, Risk, Audit and Compliance Groups

  • Knowledge of Sanction Screening Systems e.g. FircoSoft
