JPMorgan Chase Office of Military and Veteran Affairs- Associate, Business Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia

JPMorgan Chase established the Office of Military and Veterans Affairs (MVA) in 2011 because it recognizes the tremendous sacrifices our military members and their families have made on our behalf and believe we must contribute to supporting Veterans, Service members and their families through employment and small business initiatives.

The primary responsibility of this position is to drive and support implementation of various aspects of MVA's small business strategy.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Help refine and implement MVA's Veteran Small Business strategy

  • Promote JPMC's Veteran Small Business commitment to Veteran/Military/Military Spouse businesses , non-profits, and firmwide partners

  • Conduct research and analysis on various public and private sector initiatives, with an ability to convert "data" into "information" for business decisions

  • Support and track development/progress of multiple engagement strategies using proactive project management skills

  • Work with the MVA Small Business VP to plan key internal and external meetings, including weekly, quarterly, and annual meetings. Responsibilities include setting agendas, identifying, inviting, and prepping speakers or panels, developing briefing materials, and ensuring timely follow-up on items

  • Assist in execution of cross-departmental engagement, including Diversity Equity Inclusion, Marketing, Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Global Philanthropy, Government Relations, Policy Center, and Supplier Diversity

  • Collaborate across firmwide partners to communicate an integrated impact story about JPMC's Veteran/Military/Military Spouse business support

Qualifications:

  • Research and analysis experience, with an ability to review large data sets and create concise, impactful summaries using Microsoft Office Suite

  • Proactive project management experience, to include influencing and leading multiple stakeholders

  • Able to create and coordinate inputs for presentations, briefings, and progress reports, including reporting on priorities and accomplishments

  • Process improvement mindset, with an ability to promote and lead knowledge management/collaborative tools adoption (e.g., shared drive, customer relationship management (CRM) software, etc.)

  • Interest in navigating the small business ecosystem and supporting the Veteran/Military/Military Spouse population

  • Clear ability to think strategically and creatively; sound judgement

  • Commitment to exemplifying the highest integrity and professional business standards, while exercising the utmost discretion in managing sensitive information

  • Military experience and/or experience working on military/veterans-related issues is a plus
