About this position:

The Business Card Strategy, Capabilities and Analytics - Associate role will build out the business-centric strategies to advance the Small Business (SMB) data ecosystem and design capabilities that enable deeper insights about the Small Business Owner (SBO) to be used across the operating cycle.

Responsibilities:

This person will be responsible for the strategic assessment of our current data platforms to understand how those platforms use consumer and business data to make decisions.

In particular , the individual will be responsible for:

  • Onboarding external data providers to understand SMB universe expansion opportunities and new data capabilities

  • Leveraging internal data to identify incremental SMB owners and consolidate against existing SMB universe

  • Partnering with Marketing, Risk, Operations, and Lending to understand key data gaps and impacted decision engines

  • Interacting with internal Chase platforms to ensure the right data is available to support SMB strategies

  • Building proof of concepts, use cases, and other analytical frameworks to optimize SMB recognition across multiple Chase assets

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or mathematics

  • Experience evaluating complex business problems, data analysis and devising recommendations

  • 1-3 years of related experience within marketing, finance or risk analysis

  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals

  • Strong critical thinker with exceptional problem solving abilities

Ideal candidates would be able to do the following:

  • Have experience in small business marketing and analytics

  • Proven ability to identify customer/business insights and influence the development of innovative strategies that drive improvements across the operating model

  • Understanding of the key drivers within credit card P&L

  • Results oriented self-starter effective at prioritizing and managing multiple initiatives concurrently

  • Proficiency writing data analysis languages, such as SAS and/or SQL, working knowledge of database environments to perform data analysis
