The Card Planning & Analysis team serves as a strategic analytical resource to help senior executives understand, manage, forecast and plan the financial profitability of the business. The team is responsible for coordinating the financial activities including annual and mid-year Business Planning and Stress Testing for the Credit Card and Merchant Services. The group also manages and leads financial/strategic projects and key analysis to provide insight and decision support to the Credit Card and CCB leadership team.

Position Description

This position will lead Card Services Balance Sheet forecasting by consolidating data inputs from various teams, running and enhancing existing forecasting templates. In addition to forecasting, this role will be responsible for actuals reporting, analyzing results, providing insights to senior management and driving process improvements. Ad-hoc requests are common around quarter ends, Investor Day and key submission dates set by the Corporate office.


  • Provide support for the Business Planning, Stress Testing in addition to monthly, weekly and daily financial reporting

  • Analyze financial results with the focus on the Card Services Balance Sheet, provide commentary and variance analysis

  • Enhance current Balance Sheet forecasting and reporting processes.

  • Support the preparation of internal and external presentations and supporting materials for the Card Services

  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy and timeliness in all financial reporting

  • Proactively analyze trends, research issues and respond to inquiries

  • Build efficiencies and expand forecasting and reporting automation efforts

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or other related majors

  • 2+ years of financial/analytical experience

  • Self-starter with strong critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and time-management skills

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Advanced skills in in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint/PitchPro; Hyperion Essbase and Tableau preferred

  • Understanding or willingness to learn SAS/SQL
